I met the current record holders during their quest at Amazonia Lodge in Peru last year, and had the opportunity to(figuratively) yank Alan out of a hot shower to see a perched tawny bellied screech owl.(Photos of the bird in my October 2008 Peru II set http://www.flickr.com/photos/joelnrosenthal/sets/72157608694775633/)--So I made my small contibution....Click on their "route" link to see what you're up against airfare-wise if you're interested in breaking the record...I do not believe they set foot in florida to achieve their record..
