The Kite is a sighting that really needed a photo. Too bad you didn't get one. I hope you will at least send in a description when I ask for fall sightings (fall = Aug through Nov). These kites are mostly gone by mid-Sept., with only one November report (Nov. 1).

It's not completely crazy to report one this late. There are some scattered reports from winter, but the only record after Oct seems to be the one that Brennan Mulrooney photographed in the Keys on Dec. 6, 2003.
