This afternoon during our stroll through campus we ran into a feeding flock of Warblers and a Vireo. We started off by looking for some Raptors overhead but only saw Turkey Vultures as we do everyday here. Today we had about 100+/- in 10 minutes passing over but no other Raptors with them, last week on Friday we had an immature Mississippi Kite soaring overhead(sorry Bill B); sweet!
We ran into the feeding flock in a Sea Grape tree and followed them to an Oak Tree where we had awesome looks at out first of season Blue-headed Vireo. The flock also consisted of B & W, Parula, Prairie, Magnolia, Yellow-rumped, Palm, Redstart, BG Gnatcatcher and a Ruby-crowned was heard but not seen. The place has been pretty birdy lately and we are expecting something good to show up any minute now; we will post if see anything unusual.

Nature is Awesome
