I was also lucky this afternoon. I live in Boca Raton and our complex has some wonderful forest and trees. I kept seeing a shadow in my backyard and when I looked out at my tree, I was privy to a pair of Coopers Hawks. She was lovely but he was regal. They were checking out my newest little baby boy squirrel as a possible lunch entree but mostly seemed content to sit and rest a while. They were literally 15 feet out my back window and I felt so fortunate to have such a bird's eye view of them for a change.
