Is it possible that I saw a Glaucous Gull this weekend about 12 miles offshore Miami? I have never seen this species before but it was a very large gull nearly all white with the exception of noticeable gray bar-ish marking on the undersides of its wings. This seems close to a second year according to R.T. Peterson. He/She was sitting in the water when I first came upon him.
