David: I found that Lark Sparrow in the same place last Wednesday (9/3), so I guess it's sticking around. I pegged it as an immature male, based on the dark flecking above and to the sides of the central breast spot. Sound like the same bird?

: Yesterday evening at Lucky Hammock there was a stunning LARK SPARROW perched in the vegetation opposite the hammock. A FOS Indigo Bunting was at the NE corner the hammock as well.

: This morning hundreds of Bobolinks were flying over and into the fields around the hammock. Pectoral Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Lesser Yellowlegs, and over a hundred Killdeer were in the fields on the opposite side of SR9336, and 2 Solitary Sandpipers were seen in the fields on both sides of the road.
: Two empids at LH looked "Leastish", and one at the Annex lacked any prominant eyering so I'm leaning towards Traill's. None of the three uttered a sound, unfortunately. At the annex was also a beautiful Louisiana Waterthrush along with the usual assortment of Ovenbirds, Am. Redstarts, and now-more-Common Yellowthroats. E. Kingbirds remain in significant numbers throughout the area and in Everglades NP.

: cheers

: David
