You can try mixing up some mulch and Sunflower Seeds, they also like nuts. Insects are a big part of their diet so the mulch will do double duty. The mulch can hold the seed you mix into it as well as insects will show up in the mulch naturally. The mulch seems to work well at Castellow Hammock; we usually will see one searching for food within the mulch in the garden. Remember Thrashers are rather shy and prefer to forage hidden from view, you can try to set the mulch or leaves under some shrubs.
