Not for the more favorable reasons, though. I am in Boston working at a high school summer program for my second summer. Today we went up to coastal Maine. Common Eider was the highlight, but I noticed some shorebird migration. A flock of peeps was seen heading south, and Black-bellied Plovers and Sanderlings were seen. I'm assuming they are working their way south.

Mornings have been fairly chilly over here, sometimes in the 50s. I can only imagine the temps in the shorebird breeding grounds...
