Masked Duck Continues

Masked Duck sightings continued today at the Sheridan St. wetland. It was spotted by Kitty Suarez at about 5:30 PM, in about the same location as was reported yesterday (left of straight out from where the boardwalk forks). The duck was active, diving several times at the edge of open water before moving back into the foliage.

David LaPuma and Michelle Davis saw the bird about an hour earlier, but in the area off the right fork near where it was seen on 5/19.

Weather conditions (almost constant downpours) were less than optimal for us birders, but for the bird in question, the weather apparently was just ducky.
