I arrived this morning at 6:30 AM; several Mangrove Cuckoos were calling in the surrounding hammock during the first hour of my vigil. Only Common Ground-Doves were present around the bird seed when I arrived; but eventually they were joined by large numbers of Eurasian Collared-Doves and Mourning Doves, plus one White-winged Dove. Joining me this morning were John Kellam, Larry, Christine and Phillip Manfredi, Kitty Suarez and Carlos Sanchez. When I left shortly after 9:30 AM, the Zenaida Dove had yet to make an appearance.
