Hey Alex,

It is nice to see your report that frogs were in abundance as long as they were natives and not the Cuban Treefrog.

Our native treefrogs, such as the Green treefrog (Hyla cinerea) and the Squirrel treefrog (Hyla squirella) are rapidly disappearing, probably due to its presence. The Cuban Treefrog (Osteopilus septentrionalis) consumes native frogs and lizards posing a threat to the biodiversity of the areas into which it spreads.

Here is a great book about the problems that Cuban Treefrogs pose and how you can help manage these invasive frogs and help native treefrogs in return.
