This is way more than sad, it is extremely barbaric. Numbers to call who CAN help: Pelican Harbour Seabird Station on 79th Street Causeway: 305-751-9840. Wildlife Care Center in Fort Lauderdale: 954-524-4302.
Find out what municipality was responsible for such inhumane and unobservant action and then write a well written letter to the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel including pictures. It WILL be published and gererate the outrage it should. Cities are not so freaking moronic that they can't plan tree trimming to not be in the spring or so blind that they can't see nests. These babies and new parents need your help. HELP THEM.
