I hit the Everglades area today including C-111e first thing in the morning. Birding at C-111 e was slow with the exception of a W. Kingbird and a very interesting Myiarchus. The bird in question had a very pale yellow wash, and almost no rufous on the tail. I was looking at it across the canal so I didn't get much more in terms of definitive field marks. The bird in question was calling constantly....a two syllable whistle call that sounded somewhat like a Great-crested but higher pitched. I'm very familiar with both the calls of Brown-crested and Great-crested and this sounded markedly different. I can't for the life of me find a sound record of a La Sagra's call note online. I found a video of one singing but that's it....no call note. If you know where I could find this recording, please let me know.

Additional birds included a singing Chat that popped up at Lucky Hammock. Warblers were around as well, primarily at the Gumbo Limbo area. Below is a list of migrants and approximate numbers:

American Redstart (35)
Black-throated Blue Warbler (8)
Blackpoll Warbler (1)
Common Yellowthroat (3)
Palm Warbler (1)
Worm-eating Warbler (1)
Cape May Warbler (2)
Ovenbird (4)
N. Parula (6)
Red-eyed Vireo (1)
Yellow-billed Cuckoo (1)
