My No. 1 nemesis bird is Black-billed Cuckoo. At times down here in South Fla., I have had to shoo away overly friendly Mangrove Cuckoos like so many deerflies, but do you think I could find the much commoner BBCU? I have made special attempts for the Black-billed in Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Indiana, Ontario . . . you name it . . . but was thwarted every time. Good luck on your quest. Your best chance: Key Largo Botanical Site or John Pennekamp State Park, also in KL.
