Mallards at Cutler Wetland

I know there are feral Mallards all over, but the male Mallard I saw this morning had the white collar below the green head. Could this be a legitimate Mallard?

I know little about how to distinguish between the two.

Comments anyone.

I had no batteries in my camera, so I'm planning to go back by in a little while and try to get photos.

BTW: saw only a few warbles at Sadowski this morning, but there were many more that did flybys and others I heard but couldn't see to ID. So a few birds did drop in last night.
