Hi, Alex. Thanks for the intel. I would certainly agree with your local knowledge, and that this was most likely a KING RAIL and not a clapper. In Georgia, we also only get Kings in fresh water, and Clappers in salt/estuarine situations. This bird's breast coloration as well as vocalizations seemed just so... Clapper-like! Still, I am certain based on your input and the expected habitat of each respective species that I erred in this ID.
