Lesser Nighthawk is now an annual winter visitor to south Florida, but is regularly seen, usually at dawn or dusk, at only a few known locations, including Lucky Hammock and the Flamingo area of Everglades National Park and most recently, Dump Marsh. Sightings have been widely reported on this BirdBoard. Their status has been updated in the 2005 edition of Bill Pranty's ABA guide.
