Back on August 7, 2001, Bill Boeringer, Brian Rapoza and myself had 25 species of shorebirds. See Bill's post Shorebirding Odyssey in the TAS 2001 Archives. Someone soonafter reported 26 or 27 species. I think that mark could be easily broken later in August. A well-planned itinerary and some scouting, a la David Simpson, would increase your chances. Good luck! Life is good...........knowing that a 30 shorebird day may be on the horizon.
