Just finished reading Alex and Me by Irene Pepperberg. Summarized all the amazing experiments that proved Alex, the African Grey, had the cognitive ability of a 6 year old-could count to 10, understood zero, knew colors, shapes, vocab of over 200 words, etc. As I'm writing this, my macaw is telling her sister, "no bite" as they are playing over a toy.
