Dear Robin and Liz,

I remember seeing a species very similar to the photo of the Cuban Crescent on the website I visited on Florida Butterflies that Bob Kelly and I caught and released many mango seasons ago at Cape Florida. We called it a Mat Plant Crescent. It was using Frog Fruit, Carpetweed or Creeping Charlie (phyla nodiflora) as a nectar plant.Could we have misidentified it? Did I tell you that I had an American Redstart in my backyard this morning? Life is good............knowing the University of Florida can't tell an alligator from a crocodile (see U of F fotball media guide).
Sorry Joe.
