It was a lovely day in the neighborhood today as I was doing my timed count for the PABU folks in SC.PABUs were plentiful as were woodpeckers,a pair each of Red bellies, Flickers and a lone sapsucker. An ovenbird made a return appearance as did shiny cowbirds,a brown thrasher, a flock of cedar waxwings and this sparrow that surprised the heck out of me by flying in and hastily eating before it just as quickly left.
The closest I can figure is Clay colored sparrow but having never actually seen one I'm hoping someone will help me id it.
Help!
