There was a real sparrow of some sort at my home feeder this past Friday but, once I got my new way-cool binoculars it was nowhere to be seen. If it had been a Clay-colored Sparrow I would have celebrated with an Old Rasputin Russian Imperial porter. I did see a Swallow-tailed Kite searching my yard for lizards, snakes, or baby birds in their nest.
Absinthe makes the heart grow fondle.
