Nancy Freedman, Jean Quincy and I birded Loop Rd this morning. We couldn't refind the Munias, but our first migrant warblers of the fall provided some compensation. There were 3 Yellow-throated Warblers in a pineland and 1 Louisiana Waterthrush at Sweetwater Strand.
Lingering summer residents included Parulas and Titmice. Pineland residents included Bluebird, Pine Warbler, and Towhee.
I was surprised to see several Shrikes along the road. I couldn't recall seeing them there. I've just checked my computer records and could mention of Shrikes on Loop Rd.
