To end the TAS Trip Saturday Jan 17, we had a female Black throated Gray Warbler at The Environmental Sensitive Restoration Area on corner of NW 21 Ave and NW 49th Street in Ft Lauderdale.
The restoration area is fenced, the bird was viewed from tne southeast corner of the property. It was in great back lighting , from 100 ft in a tall cypress. I have entensive experience with this species in the western United States. I hope others can view and possible photo the bird. I will be there on Sunday afternoon.
CAUTION: ONE OF OUR PARTY HAD THERE CAR VANDALIZED. THIS IS A HIGH CRIME AREA. On weekdays there is extensive traffic.
The group also saw the Summer tanager with great views previously noted on the bird board. Trip report will follow.
