After 2 round-trips on Snake Bight Saturday for the Coot Bay CBC, today's round-trip seemed like a quick stroll. Joan (visiting PA friend) and I found a Long-billed Curlew straight out from the boardwalk this morning. It's probably the same bird reported by Abby and seen by the boat team on Saturday. There were 31 Marbled Godwits, as well as usual waders, pelicans, terns, gulls and shorebirds. Along the trail, we had an assortment of warblers (10 species), vireos, woodpeckers and a few White-crowned Pigeons.

Later on the Tamiami Trail we were treated to excellent views of 2 Snail Kites finding and eating Apple Snails. One kite was banded.
