Danny: Closer to you than ENP would be A.R.M. Loxahatchee NWR (Boynton Beach on 441). Snail Kites are common there. Last year they even constructed a nest within sight of the walking levee. I would like to encourage everyone to attend Everglades Day there February 7. Also, Snail Kites range includes up the Kissimmee River so there should be some places closer to you to find them.
