According to Jerome Jackson there are known specimens from the following Florida counties: Baker, Brevard, Citrus, Dade, DeSoto, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Taylor, and Volusia...and a host of specimens collected in unknown Florida locations.
His book mentions a questionable record from Royal Palm Hammock in 1917 and another from the same area in 1919. There is also another sighting that some believe is from Long Pine Key in 1919 as well. I found Jackson's book In Search of Ivory-billed Woodpeckers to be really fun to read, even if it was depressing to read about huge losses throughout the peninsula.
