This morning while walking in the West Miramar ESA near our home I encountered this predator. At first I thought it to be a coyote, as I have found what looks like coyote scat in the area. However, when it moved into the brush it had the heavy appearance of a cat, and the photo shows leg markings that suggest it may be a Florida Panther. This area of recovering Everglades is SW of the intersection of Miramar Parkway and the 198th Avenue canal. Also saw two cottonmouths and two alligators, and also photographed a Northern Waterthrush.
