If there was ever a day worthy of a couple of celebratory libations, it's today. I already had a Lagunitas "We're Only In It For The Money" Abbey Tripel in honor of the Virginia Rail and Bonaparte's Gull this norning, but cool sighings by other birders today include a second Rusty Blackbird, the relocation of one of the Tropical Kingbirds, Yellow-headed Blackbird, White-crowned Sparrow, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, among others. Add to this a third House Finch, a female, that showed up at my feeder this afternoon, and the "very interesting" owl I almost hit this morning before dawn, and I definitely have to invoke the immortal words of Neil Diamond: "Sweet Caroline, goood times never felt so good..." So, I am now celebrating with a Rogue Chocolate Stout.

Cheers!
