Today afternoon I went outside and birdwatched for about a half an hour. The first imppresive bird I saw a hawk. A got a glimpse for about 5 seconds. I'll give u the details. It was a medium length bird. It was flying low with about 5 grackles in back of it. It was in my neighborhood. There is no forests around, only backyards with couple trees. Spotted it next to Lourdes High school. Its in the intersection of sw 84th terrace and SW 54 ave. It was a greayish hawk. It had reddish on it. It had a fairly long tail. About the size of a coopers hawk. Can anyone please give an idea of what I saw. Thankyou in advance. Then I saw an incredible Least Tern calling around the area i just mentioned. After that I saw a Downy Woodpecker and heard a pileated woodpecker also around the area i just mentioned. O yeah, almost forgot two swallow-taile kite flying high around the same area. ALos this morning I saw again the red-whisckered bulbul with its young on the ficus tree. Please someone help.
