Angel and Mariel,

I don't think we're doubting what you saw, we just weren't fortunate to have very many gulls to look through while we were there.

Before Roxanne arrived, I had a very large flock of gulls resting on the mudflats. Unfortunately, a helicopter flew low over the wetlands and spooked all the gulls. The flock split into two groups, with the smaller group coming back and the other group leaving for the duration we were there. To add insult to injury, a Broad-winged Hawk soared over and flushed them again. This time, all the birds save one lonely Black Skimmer left. It was just not to be.

Out in the distance, near Mt. Trashmore, you could see well over a thousand white specks. I am sure there are many cool gulls in there!
