We had to scope through a big flock of gulls to find these two beauties, the flock was at least 600 gulls strong. I rarely digiscope and do not own a scope/camera outfit, that is why I did not post a shot. Rest assure they were both Franklin's, just find the right flock. We spent about 45-50 minutes scoping then about 30-40 minutes observing the two, one gull was a first winter bird and the other was a second winter bird according to the Sibley guide.
