One of the things you can do ( and this is not cheating) is to use plants that will attract birds. Since I seem to be the bahama bush and fire bush queen, I would strongly suggest these plants for hummingbirds, warblers, gnatcatchers , and Spot breasted orioles. A number of birds, such as cat birds, love suet feeders, as do the red breasted woodpeckers.
And if I could, I would probably put a swamp right in my backyard, so the ivory billed woodpeckers would fly in as well!!! ( JOKE).
