Home Hardware on Krome Avenue in Homestead sells plastic purple martin houses, and nice bird feeders too.
Anything seen from your yard can be counted. That's why Magnificent Frigatebird is on my yard list! It was seen during a Christmas bird count in my yard a few years ago. Because I have a natural swimming pool with fish in it, I also have green heron, black-crowned night-heron, great blue heron, great egret, and belted kingfisher on my yard list. It's a jungle out there!
