Susan, I refer to Snake Bight at low tide as "where water has been!" Stepping out of your canoe or kayak out there is like trying to stand in cream cheese.

Be especially attentive to a falling tide if you're out there at or near a new or full moon, when high tides are higher and low tides are lower than norm.
