I've had Painted Buntings and the usual suspects at my feeders, but yesterday was a new one. I looked out my dining room window early yesterday afternoon to see something grayish brown, very still, on either side of the tube feeder. What kind of birds? A closer look reveals a very large rat curled around the tube. Send out one Dalmatian to chase it away.
