Wow! This morning the Red-shoulderd hawk took on a muscovey. That was a sight to watch. It made three passes and the drake stretched its wings and bit back. The duel went on for over a minute before the hawk moved on.

BG gnatcatchers still the most abundant bird but 10 more mottled ducks winged in to the water canals in the Northwest corner. The osprey is back at his old perch in the same area. Hummers are in the hamelias---all rubies. Light rain fell freshining the orchids.
