Yesterday on the NAMBC at Oleta River, we saw two Chuck-will's-widows at very close range.One was sitting right next to the trail, 5 feet off the ground snoozing. We looked at each other for about 4 seconds and then he flew. What a chunky bird.
Also saw a Peregrine Falcon.
