I had the same thing happen to me last November at Spanish River Park in Boca. My car window was smashed out and my friend's purse was stolen, along with her car and house keys. Luckily, the binos I keep in my car for "unexpected birding on the road" are cheap ones I got from Sports Authority. It sickens me to hear this happening to others, especially fellow birders. When we are out in public, we are always at risk of becoming a victim of crime. While we are at Barnes and other hot spots during the migration, lets keep our eyes not only on the birds, but also on any suspicious looking folks.
