We forgot to mention that the field guide was a Sibley's Field Guide that was in the car when it was broken into. Unfortunately either the thieves were birders or just grab anything they see. If anyone birding the park finds a Sibley guide please contact us.
We were parked in the back by the nature center next to the old trailer that was removed. Last night we were thinking that it may be one of the homeless that live in the park because what thief would take a cooler with water in it. But as of today our email accounts and other accounts have been targeted and the thief has been trying over and over to access our information. Please everyone we would hate to see this happen twice be aware of what is going on around. Maybe park in the front of the park by the pavilions, there seems to be more people around there. We will write and call the Commissioner and the park management to try to set up some type of park security.
