I was running errands downtown and some extra time to kill, so I stopped by Crandon in the hopes of a Common Tern off Governement Cut and the Red Knot from Fay. I saw neither.
There were two Reddish Egret feeding just off the bridge onto Key Biscayne. I parked at the Crandon Marina to see them.

At Crandon's South Beach, I found several large groups of larids and shorebirds.
Laughing Gull
Lesser Black-backed Gull- 41! I'm sure this is one of the best spots in the U.S. to see this bird.
Great Black-backed Gull- one young bird
Royal, Sandwich, and Least Terns- many Leasts
Black Skimmer
Piping, Wilson's, and Semipalmated Plovers
Sanderling
Ruddy Turnstone

I also watched a Swallow-tailed Kite fly in from the Atlantic.

There was an American Crocodile, Green and Spiny-tailed Iguanas,
and Brown Basilisks at Crandon Zoo. I'm sure the crocs there have plenty to eat between the waterfowl and large lizards.
