Back up at school, I go camping at the Blackwater River State Forest area, just east of Pensacola. Every other camping trip, we will hear coyotes. A group of 5-8 almost came into our camp while we were sleeping back in November. It was probably a mother and young.
I have seen plenty of road kill coyotes up in the Panhandle, and apparantly they wander into campus.
I also saw two off of the Florida Turnpike just south of Orlando back in January.
