Gray foxes have lived on both FIU campuses since before they were campuses. On the UP campus foxes sleep in one of the buildings (best not to say which).
A redtail cannot take down a gray fox, but it might hope to steal whatever the fox had concealed in its mouth, perhaps a young dove.
