Thanks for all your posts and E-mails to try and get a positive ID on this bird. I have had several of you tell me that this is more likely a male adult snail kite.
The bird I saw looked more like the black hawk pictures in sibleys than the snail kite picture but is FAR more likely to be the Snail kite based on location, as there are few records of Black Hawks found in Florida.
I saw the bird again this morning, hopefulyy he will be there tomorrow as I will bring my camera and get a shot of him to post.
