Hello, I have a question I am sure someone on here will be able to answer. Last night (10:30 pm) I was on my patio (S. Palm Beach) when some flying object caught my eye. Initially I thought it was a hummingbird, but since it was flying just barely in the reach of my porch light I could not be positive. It had the same body as a hummingbird with a fast wing beat and a protruding head, but there were no colors visible beside black and brown that I could see. I really don't think it was bat or alien moth, but I could be wrong!
Could a hummingbird finally have graced my little garden?? And how late do birds fly at night? I imagined that most start to roost during sunset?
Thank you in advance for any feedback!
