Question about nighthawk markings

This time of yet when the gnats swirl in huge plumes in the afternoons, the nighthawks move in.
I was watching their erratic swoops and dives and in looking at some pics I grabbed noticed that this bird has neither a white chin nor a banded white tail.
Also the wing markings are not on all feathers.
Is this just a juvenile common nighthawk? a female? another type of nighthawk?
I think there were several birds that did not have the complete white strip thru the primaries and one bird was missing a couple of primaries (wish I hadn't deleted those before reading Sibley's comment about Lesser nighthawks :( )
Anyway, opinions welcome about who this bird is :)
