Hey, Trish. We took another look at the field guides and concluded that it could have been another fish of a darker blue hue but not sure what else it could be. If it wasn't a Cherubfish what would be your best guess? It was in sand and rock substrate about 50 feet from shore on the southeast rocky side of the island. Yes, Indian Key ruins are pretty neat, with an observation tower on the north side. We had a lovely picnic lunch on a bench looking out at Alligator Reef Lighthouse.
