Question about over-summering birds

I may have just not taken good notes over the last summers, but it seems to me that there are MANY more vultures (mainly Black) and Ospreys hanging around this summer in West Broward and Palm Beach counties. I thought they moved on and came back in the Fall?

Anyone else notice this? Or did the heat just make me less observant in years past ;)
