We spent an hour or so at A.D. Barnes this afternoon (Friday) beginning around 2:45 and were met right off with a pair of Black & Whites drinking and bathing at the fountain. They hung out there for several minutes frolicking. After that we came upon a pair of Prairie Warblers, followed by at least 2 Yellow-Throated warblers and a mystery warbler (that looked like a distinctly different species) that we are still struggling to identify. It was white underneath, grayish with few markings above, a notched tail and a distinct white eye ring. It was also very, very active compared to the other warblers. Perhaps a juvenile?

Earlier in the day we were treated to American white pelicans, two ospreys and an unidentified small brown hawk (being harassed by grackles) at Cutler Wetlands (plus the usual killdeer, black-necked stilts, etc.), followed by a swallow-tailed kite at the corner of Red Road and Bird.
