Toe just called and said he saw an adult Hudsonian Godwit around 6 pm today. The Hudsonian Godwit flew from the private land on 97 Avenue towards the landfill. It called twice in flight. Toe thinks it may have landed in one of the ponds. He got great looks at the bird and will try to relocate it. What an AMAZING and INCREDIBLE bird to find!
He said that he found several shorebird species in the surrounding areas including Cutler Wetlands. Hopefully this will be a great Shorebird Migration year.
Nature is Awesome..(especially when a friend calls to say he found a Hudsonian Godwit!)
